The European Union and NATO have recently adopted their new strategic guidance documents. Both the EU\u2019s Strategic Compass, adopted in March and NATO\u2019s new strategic concept, adopted in June, recognise the key role of the NATO-EU partnership for transatlantic security. In an increasingly hostile strategic environment following the watershed moment for Euro-Atlantic security with the outbreak of Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine, the complementarity between the EU and NATO is essential to redefine the security and defence order of the Euro-Atlantic area.
